Tips for Bathroom Cleaning

Cleaning the house can seem to be a complex task. Each room requires a different procedure and each surface requires different cleaning products. Here, we give you an overview of the products you should stock up on to keep a clean home!

1. A Good Multi-Purpose Cleaner

Most house cleaning jobs can be accomplished with a cloth and a good multi-purpose cleaner like Domex. Dilute with water based on the product’s instructions and use on different surfaces and items at home.

2. A Bleach-based Toilet and Bathroom Cleaner

You need a stronger product that can remove the most stubborn stains on your toilet. Apply the toilet cleaner directly on the stain, leave for a few moments and watch your toilet become whiter once you flush.

3. Baking Soda

Baking soda is a great product to use when trying to remove bad odor and to clean surfaces. It has the advantage of being able to effectively dissolve almost any dirt. It is also a great tool in kitchen cleaning and bathroom cleaning.

• To clean kitchen appliances: Mix with warm water to create a mixture that can clean the oven and the fridge.
• To remove odors: Put a small dish of baking soda in your fridge and this will keep out any unwanted smells. Change this dish every month to keep your fridge smelling clean and fresh.

4. Lemon Juice

Lemon juice can be used for many of the same purposes as baking soda. They are both natural cleaning products have the added advantage of being able to cut through alkaline deposits like limescale and pesky soap scum. Lemon juice can also be a great cleaning solution for deodorizing drains: Simply mix a solution of equal parts with water and pour it directly down the drainpipe.

5. Rubber Gloves

This item should not need too much explaining! Rubber gloves are an excellent resource to avoid getting your hands too dirty and to prevent you getting any cleaning products on your skin when you are cleaning your house. Chemical burns can be dangerous and leave permanent scars. It is ideal to have one pair of gloves for cleaning the kitchen and one pair for the bathroom – try getting different colors to make sure that you do not mix them up!

6. Floor Cleaner

Floors can be made with sensitive materials. Sometimes, harsh cleaners used on floors leave whitened spots. It is also not advisable to use harsh cleaners on your floors if you have children as kids tend to sit and play with their toys on the floor. That is why we recommend finding a floor cleaner that can remove dirt, kill germs and still be safe for your floor material.
